We offer a wide range of honourboards made in the traditional methods with text applied, we can offer updates that can be posted to you to simply apply yourself, saving you ongoing costs in having to commission a signwriter to attend . . . . simulated 'gold leaf' can be offered for the dark boards and other colours for light finishes. Additionally you can rest assured knowing that all the text we supply will be the same style, and appear the same every time you order, rather than be in different styles and shapes, which were previously restricted to the individual signwriter's skill.

WHAT SIZE ? HOW MANY NAMES? HOW MANY COLUMNS?

Assuming a normal layout is that of a short title, subheading and normal update of single name/date:

300mm wide board x 1200mm high will cater for 1 column across and approximately 40 names deep.
400mm wide board x 1200mm high will cater for 1 column (double name) across and approximately 40 names deep.
600mm wide board x 1200mm high will cater for 2 columns across and approximately 40 names deep.
800mm wide board 1200mm high would cater for 3 columns across and approximately 40 names deep.
1200mm wide board 1200mm high would cater for 4/5 columns across and approximately 40 names deep.
1200mm wide board 2400mm high would cater for 3 columns across and approximately 80 names deep.
2400mm wide board 1200mm high would cater for 9 columns across and approximately 40 names deep.


All honourboards can be made to specific size requirements and text can also be condensed to fit if needed - The above examples do not include space for Crests/logos or base inscriptions or any elaborate framing/surround, all dependent upon top title and information space needed, and for subheadings.

These will cater for most honour or achievement lists with prices starting from £75.00 and special rates given for multi-line text listing on each new board purchased together with  a quick turn around on all future text annual updates.

TRADITIONAL HONOURBOARDS
SOLID VENEERED MDF CORE WITH SCULPTURED EDGES

Our Traditional 'Honours' boards are constructed from a 25mm timber frame faced with veneered plywood and edged with a matching hardwood surround to create a smart sharp edge and frame the honourboard.

They are stained and finished with three coats of satin varnish to minimise surface relfection, which is especially important if spotlighting is to be used. All boards are specifically made to your requirements, although we find from experience that the most popular shapes are the standard rectangular or the apex top, both with hardwood angled edge.

The Mahogany with simulated Gold Leaf being the most popular and Oak with Black text being a close runner-up, and the most popular size being: 1200mm high x 800mm wide.
Our Solid veneered Honourboards are manufactured from veneered faced solid MDF
panels in 12mm and 18mm thickness with sculptured and bevel edges, made specifically to your requirements.

Available in Dark Mahogany, Oak, Ash, Beech, Cherry or Maple, American Black Walnut is also available but only in 18mm thick.

In addition these are available edged with matching hardwood surrounds scultptured edges and inset routering to suit many applications and finishes.

Hardwood trimmed surround with sculptered edge and can incorporate inset routered square and column design around surrounding edges .

All boards can supplied with rear recessed keyhole fixings.

Special Headings or Titles as well as inscriptions, crests and logos can be incorporated at special rates making this standard honourboard design useful for Clubs, Associations, Schools, Colleges etc. without breaking the bank!.

All boards are supplied with rear brass hanging plates fixings.
MODERN CORE MATERIALS
With new building designs being created using vast areas of natural materials such as decorated brick, huge expanses of glass, stainless steel etc, and it has been more requested to create the honourboard on another material rather than wood, as traditionally used.

We now can offer such alternative core materials, such as cristal clear acrylic upto 10mm thick, with flame polished edges, or 8mm thick toughned glass where the public safety is an issue, even simple powder coated aluminium or brushed stainless steel sheeting, all offered with appropriate fixing methods, including the modern stand off fixings to give an individual 'floating' effect.
